I guess this is a major reason for me wanting to study Tantra.
Tantra to me is appreciating sex as a spiritual practice.
It is a quest for me to experience more and more heightened states of consciousness, and mystical states through sex and orgasm. I know it’s real potential because I have witnessed women (sexual partner’s and clients) have these mystical experiences,
One partner of mine said that she experienced the totality of the Absolute - Pure Unconditional Love, that she melted completely into when I was giving her a Yoni massage once. It was beautiful.
And the more I learn and the more I read about this, the more incredible it appears.
Did you know that you can have an orgasm through cervix stimulation?
Not only that but this type of orgasm has been described as '“a shower of stars” in research conducted by Beverly Whipple PhD, who is an expert in women’s health and sexual physiology.
The orgasm starts in the pelvis, spreads up to the heart and encapsulates the whole of the body. You feel as if you are floating and your mind has totally gone. It’s been known to be completely earth-shattering and mind-altering, it has been postulated that there could be a release of DMT (known as the spirit molecule, used in sacred medicine journeys to experience mystical states that transform their relationships to themselves, to others and the planet).
The cervix is literally the gateway to life. We all pass through this opening as we are born. It is a sacred opening, without a doubt.
And this cervix, up until recently was thought to be devoid of sensory nerves, but it is, in fact, sensitive to touch and connected directly to the vagus nerve, going up all the way to the crown chakra.
Olivia Bryant is a founder of Self:Cervix, an organisation leading women to sexual empowerment through the exploration of cervical orgasms. She says that these types of orgasms “can cause a sense of ‘one-ness’ with everything, once you’ve had an experience like this, you no longer think of yourself as separate from all things,”
Pretty amazing right?
She goes on to say “They can be profoundly spiritual because you are released from your ego and identity. When I’ve had this experience, and for me they are rare, I describe it like a ‘disappearing act’. ‘I’ am no longer there, I experience deep peace and quiet, apparently, my breath stops, and then at some point I come back.”
It’s not necessarily an everyday occurrence. There needs to be plenty of groundwork that takes place before. This is where the healing part is useful. We are first invited to release stored trauma and blockages, pain and numbness to open up our pleasure gateways in order to experience these profound states of mystical bliss.
It is possible to take the journey on your own. And, it is also very helpful to get assistance too. As I saw Teal Swan say the other day; when the trauma is caused in a relationship, the only way to release the trauma is through a relationship.
